I am feeling a bit better. Beautiful day 19 Deg. C. . We drove to old town Temecula--watched actors do a old west gunfight on the street, browsed the farmer's market, taste tested olive oil and had lunch at Rosa's Cantina. Outside of Temecula we toured the wineries and did some wine tasting. Beautiful countryside. Not bad wine either! In the evening it rained and we played a couple of games of floor shuffleboard.

Windy during the night and raining all day (better than snow). We entered the floor shuffleboard tournament from 1 to 4 pm. with an ice cream social afterwards. Gerald and Bev got 3rd place. It was lots of fun.

Rain again today. Did laundry. I went for a haircut $17.00 and nail fill $10.00 across the street(cheaper than Calgary). In the afternoon we went to the Soboba Casino outside of Hemet. Large facility. Did not bring any winnings home! We invited the Brook's and Fernquist's for home made lemon pie (bought at Polly's Pies) and special coffee.

Cloudy 11 Deg.C. We said goodby to Bev and Gerald Fernquist. We drove 45 min. to March Field Air Museum next to the active U.S. March Airforce Base. Inside the museum, items of the history of aviation and March Field 1918 to present were on display. Outside there were over 50 aircraft of all kinds-bombers,fighters,hellicopters and planes used in WW1 and 2,Vietnam,Desert Storm, etc. It was a great display. Our friends Brian and Shirley Regan arrived from Yuma to stay here for 2 weeks. We showed them around the resort and played some shuffleboard.

I am still feeling congested. Sunshine at last 16 Deg. C. Brian,Shirley,John,Lynda,Ralph and I toured the surrounding area stopping at Landmark Golf Course and Butt Bar and Lounge for lunch. In the evening we went to the Rick Morgenstern Show $6.00 in the ballroom---singer,pianist,impressionist,and entertainer. Good time. After the show we all went into the pool and hot tub. Swimming under the stars and palm trees and having drinks was great.
Jan. 31st
Beautiful sunny 16 Deg. C. The 6 of us went golfing at Echo Hills. The odd golf ball was hit into the water, sand and over the fence but we had a fun time. Ron and Marlene Annala had us over for happy hour drinks and appetizers. They leave on Saturday for a 7 day Mexican Riviera Cruise. A soak in the hot tub before bedtime was very relaxing.
