Arizona:Windhaven Resort,Golf, Quartzite---Feb.26-28

Feb.26

We tried to download photos to blog--BAd internet connection! In the afternoon we golfed with the Brooks and the Benners at Ironwood Golf Course --9 holes for $12 with cart.Thank goodness there were trees for shade 30 deg.C--nice easy course.Diane and Al invited us for a delicious dinner afterwards. We watched the Calgary Flames on satellite.

Feb.27

The four of us travelled 80 miles north to Quartzite--desert,cacti and mountain ranges along the way. In January over a million people boon-dock on the desert during the huge R.V. shows around Quartzite. We browsed around the vendors ( higher prices than Yuma's Swapmeet). There was alot of gravel and sand landscaping in the town.We had coconut shrimp at the Grubstake Bar.On the way back we passed the Algodones Sand Dunes, fields of vegetables, and date palm orchards. The date shake was tasty. We put another 400 kilometers on the truck today. 31 deg.C.

Feb.28

Did laundry in the morning. We picked up a couple of items at the Yuma Swapmeet (open Thursday to Sunday 8-4). John and Lynda travelled around while Ralph and I had a relaxing day at the pool. Very hot 84 F/ 32 C.
