Hemet and San Diego Feb. 7th to 12th
Feb. 7th
Sunny 69 Deg. F . Ralph drove Shirley,Lynda and I to the Hemet Mall. We got some bargains at Gotttschalks and J. C. Penney. It was a long warm walk back with our parcels. Afterwards it was nice to have a mango smoothie and a hamburger at poolside. The swim was refreshing too.

72 Deg. F . Brian,Shirley,Ralph and I went golfing at Landmark Golf Course at 1 pm. --$58.00 with cart for two people. We were able to play 15 holes before it got too dark at 5:30 pm.
The course was beautiful--hills overlooking Hemet, small lakes, lots of rabbits and palm trees.
Very tired but we had a great time. John and Lynda spent the day touring the countryside. The six of us walked down the street to the Home Town Buffet in the evening.

Up early. Left at 7:30 am for San Diego. We stopped for breakfast in Oceanside and drove the Coastal Highway to San Diego. Carlsbad and the other cities along the seaside are beautiful-lots of vibrant flowers and surf boarders catching the waves. We toured Mission Bay,Cabrillo National Park and Loma Point Lighthouse--great panoramic view of San Diego and the harbour
(huge aircraft carrier was leaving port). In Old Town San Diego there was lots of shops, restaurants, flea market and historical section. We saw glass blowing, tortillas being made and had nachos and Corona at a Mexican restaurant. By the time we got back at 6:30 pm we were very tired.
Feb. 10th
78 Deg. F. We have been having poor internet connections since Wednesday. We went grocery shopping. We invited the Regan's and Brook's for roast beef dinner. It was so warm we were able to eat outside. The company, wine, food and weather made for a perfect evening.
Feb. 11th
It is hot today 85 Deg. F. We cleaned our RV windows, visited and sat around (mostly in the shade)having a few cool ones. We invited Ron and Marlene Annala,Roberta and Rick(Marlene's sister from Ottawa)for happy hour from 4 to 7 pm.They enjoyed their cruise. We had so many appetizers we did not need dinner. An enjoyable day!
Feb.12th
Another hot one! Brian and Shirley left today for Desert Hot Springs for one month. After our goodbyes, we went to the Seven Hills Golf Course driving range to hit some balls. Afterwards we went to San Jacinto to the American Legion for a couple of cold beers. We drove to a new Wal Mart on the way home. After dinner we walked over to Target. A warm, clear evening.
